“Doll” There was once a little girl who really loved dolls. She had a big collection of them in her bedroom. She admired them so much! They had such pretty hair, such nice clothes, and such beautiful eyes. One day, on her way home from school, she stopped at an antique shop. While she was browsing through the shop on her own, she spotted a beautiful doll. It had to be one of the prettiest dolls she had ever seen! It would make a perfect addition to her collection. She only hoped she had enough money with her to buy it.
“How much is that doll, ma’am?” the girl politely asked the old woman behind the counter.
“That doll is not for sale,” replied the old woman.
“But it’s so beautiful!” said the girl. “I really want it.”
The old woman became irritated. “I told you, it’s not for sale,” she said.
The girl became rather frustrated. She HAD to have that doll. “How come?” The persistent girl asked.
“That doll is cursed!” The old lady shouted.
“Well… That’s OK. I don’t mind.” The girl didn’t seem fazed at all.
“I’m not going to sell it to you… But if you really must have it, go ahead and take it. It’s yours. But if something bad happens, don’t blame me.” The old woman had given up by now.
“Ah! Yes, thank you!” The girl smiled widely as she grabbed the doll and walked out of the shop.She got home and happily played with her new doll. The doll has the most realistic hair she had ever seen. Her skin! her skin! O’ what gleam! Sadly the doll’s eyes were always closed.So the girl tried to force them open.With much struggle that they did. With fear that could not hid.Two eyes stared back. Both red as blood.She fainted at the sight and fell back with a great thud. She awoke to a shocking surprise She could not move nor open her eyes.The thought of death seemed to absurd. Moments later a chime and footsteps were heard.A jolt hit her heart as she heard the next words.“How much is that doll, ma’am?” a small girl cheerfully yelled.The old woman smiled. ”That doll is not for sale”
